When I went to the front I had voiced my concerns and experience to the manager and still ended up paying $ 100, but was offered an apology, a free membership card, free waxes on the parts that were missed but only in the next 2 days, and a note in their system for a discount for my next wax with a different person. Once the torture was over, I was still covered in wax and was lathered down with oil to which the paper on the table stuck to. I had told her to leave them alone and she kept trying to pluck. She kept telling me that I had a few short hairs, which who doesn’t, and tried to pluck them and would try to scratch at a few ingrown hairs with the tweezers just to try to pluck the hair underneath. The wax became hotter as well and the woman kept mumbling things under her breath and when I would ask her what she was saying, she barely responded. I didn’t pay to have someone lay on top of me while I’m getting waxed. She kept leaning over me and putting all of her body weight on me to reach my other side. She also would peel the wax off excruciatingly slow and didn’t let the wax dry all the way before removing it which causes more pain. To top it off, she put wax on my vagina! Seriously? The previous places that I have gone to take all the hair off in one wax and know where to apply the wax.

I felt like she was trying to make me bruise and was ripping off my skin with the wax which took her about 4 times to wax the same spot which has NEVER happened to me. The wax at first was a comfortable temperature but stuck to everything BUT my hair and was applied with hard pressure with a wooden stick. She then put baby powder on my underarms and bikini area which also blew right in my face.

As I was lying on the table the woman started prepping. I am not even sure she was an aesthetician, but probably just someone hired and trained on the job. There was no conversation as to if I had any allergies, sensitive skin or if I were on any medications that should not be used when waxing. I could hear everyone else’s conversations because the room was essentially a cubicle but with slightly higher walls. The woman took me to this tiny, dull claustrophobic room with a table up against the wall, a dreary hospital light on the wall above the table which you find in a horror movie, scratch marks on the walls from furniture and chunks of the floor missing and told me what articles of clothes to take off. My reservation was also wrong but was fixed and didn’t seem to be a problem, however I was asked if I wanted a Brazilian a total of four times after I had clearly stated that I did not. All I can say is that it is a good thing I didn’t sign anything after this visit. I didn’t even have time to sign the paper waiving them of any fault if something were to happen to me which no one seemed to notice as I was rushed to the back. I was filling out my first time paper work after I walked in and actually didn’t get to finish it. Wax but this was not my first time waxing either and I am appalled.
